WHAT IS COMPETITIVE SYSTEMS AND PRACTICES??

Competitive Systems and Practices (CSP) is a practical based qualification relevant to all businesses in all sectors.

It is a NZQA based qualification that supports a practical based learning approach to Lean Thinking There is the option of Level 3, 4, 5 qualification (these are described below).  Depending on your situation and time available, there is a programme to fit within any work place.  Courses can last from a few months to around 2 years.

The content will cover all aspects of a business improvement process, tools, understanding change, problem solving, process improvement and more.

HOW IS IT DELIVERED?

The learning is a blended approach of self directed learning, face to face workshops and project based work. Each project is focused on individuals implementing the concepts and ideas from the workshops into practical based improvements within the company. Participants are asked to demonstrate and apply the knowledge within their own work.

Sessions can be completed remotely via tools such as Zoom, this can be negotiated as required.







THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Competitive Systems and Practices (CSP) can be achieved at level 3 and level 4 (NZ Certificate) and level 5 (Diploma) qualifications. 

Level 3 - NZ Certificate in Competitive Systems and Practices

An entry level qualification where graduates will be able to identify, analyse, implement and sustain process improvements in the workplace. They are able to understand and apply their learning within their role to increase productivity, minimise waste and increase efficiency.

Level 4 - NZ Certificate in Competitive Systems and Practices

For individuals in organisations already implementing Lean Thinking. Graduates lead activities and facilitate change in their workplace culture. Learners gain specific knowledge and skills in supporting competitive strategies to increase productivity, minimise waste and increase efficiency.

Level 5 - NZ Diploma in Competitive Systems and Practices

An advanced qualification for managers responsible for implementing a competitive systems and practices strategy within their business unit or organisation. They gain skills and knowledge to implement this strategy and produce the associated culture change.


The Process

Once you know this is the right process, the rest is simple. Select the relevant modules, complete the registration and paperwork (really easy) then the learning starts!. Courses can last from 6 months to 18 months.
